Christmas Trees come in threes! (and free)
Instead of just one, real Christmas tree we got three fake ones! Ok, so it isn't as awesome or as good smelling, but they were free so you can't argue with that. Well, they are small and they don't take up to much space so it's nice. Instead of putting presents under the tree, we put them around. We've got two of the best ornaments also.
There is a small Van's shoe and Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas in his snowman outfit. Totally awesome.
Temple Lights
A couple of week
s ago we went up to Salt Lake to see the lights at the temple. Drew and Sibelle, Bryon and Leah, Kim and I all drove up and had a fun time quoting tv shows like SNL and other jokes. When we got up there we walked to get some hot chocolate from Starbucks. From there we walked around Temple Square looking at the lights. We went into the tabernacle and sat for a while and then drove home. What a wonderful time we were able to have in a company of people we love

Park-ing
Right when we got there I said it's probably best way to make this family home evening end is make it an official family. I pulled out the box, got on my knee and she didn't believe it was real until she saw the ring. She immediately freaked. I asked her to marry me and she said with hands covering her mouth, and little tears in her eyes "yes". The best word I've ever heard. I then slipped the ring on her finger and we hugged and kissed and were super happy. We ate some ice cream and just sat there talking for a bit. As we walked home she called her family and now it's totally official. I'm getting married. So, now all of you who read the title and thought we parked to make out, your wrong. Get it....Park-ing!!

so on thursday Kim and a bunch of people did this flash mob dance in the WILK for Choose2Give. It was actually pretty awesome cause a lot of people were really taken back but other totally got into it. People walking by all stopped and cheered. It was fantastic. I on the other hand am not the best camera man as you can tell.

Welcome home surprise!

While Kim was gone over the break I snuck into her room and left her a welcome home gift-a teddy bear and a rose. When we got home late Sunday night all of her roommates were there and a couple of friends. So, when she unlocked her door and went in only me and Megan knew the surprise was there so when she gave a little scream and ran out of her room into the kitchen everyone was wondering what was going on. Kim's eyes lit up with joy and surprise and she gave me an amazingly good hug. Glad to make her day!

She's Back!
Well, yesterday Kim flew back into town from Colorado. I was lucky enough to go pick her up and I found my camera the other day so I said to
I then being a gentleman said that I should carry her luggage packed it all up. While on the escalator, her new, large blue suitcase decided to fall down a step almost pulling me down. It would have been hilarious if that happened.

Falls
Well, on monday we went up to stewart falls for FHE. It was a nice enjoyable and easy hike. Got super dirty though cause I almost fell down the mountain in the same manner that I almost did in 5th grade at clearcreek. I was just walking a
long and then I did a little jump to make things exciting, almost too exciting because the edge of the trail gave way and I almost followed. Other than that it was a small group and we all had fun singing songs and talking back to the cars. It got a little dark but it was awesome cause Carly and I talked about desserts the whole way and we decided to make a list and try them all. Super excited for that!

The Lake

So on Sat. Drew, Bryon, Johan, Celeste, and I all went up to Deer Creek with drew's family. we chilled on the beach for a while and just talked and then we got the wave runners out and played on them for
the day. Bryon and I went out on one and just tried to knock each other off which was super fun. We did a pretty good job and then at the end of a run we both flew off and about broke our necks. it was off the hook! went tubing and did basically the same thing. Best 24th weekend ever!

All the while I was cooking some awesome peach cobbler. after the food we chilled waiting for the cobbler to finish and we played the card game scum. It was quite amazing Marc was king for the majority of the time. Then came the cobbler which by the way was amazing! We should do this again.

ping, chang, pow!
So, on thursday, I was driving home from work when I pull up to a stop sign. There is a girl in her jeep in front of me and she is turning right as am I. Well, she pulls out to go and then stops suddenly while I am in the process of moving forward. Well, there is a loud CHANG POW. In the midst of the comotion, I find my hood under her spare wheel. However, from the decibles of noise from the crash I came to the conclusion that her car was as bent as my hood. In fact, no. her car had zero, repeat- zero damage. Awesome. No increase in car insurance this week baby!

The Wizard of Oz
well, last night we were just chillin and doing a job. so, the next thing I know, i'm sitting there installing a panel for nate, and then the power just goes out. the rain is coming down like crazy sauce. well, then the tornado warning went off and then the power went out. pitch black. so I had to use my phone as light so I could get everything done and put together so there weren't just randome wires just sitting there. so, that was awesome cause I just kept working and the job was almost finished. the only thing we couldn't do was the garage because the door wouldn't open so nates going to go back today. well, that was the exciting story cause there was a tornado in schaumburg and then a power outage in chicago. it was a wonderful way to end the night.

so, the other day i was driving and i was just minding my own business talking with steve and we were going to turn up the volume in someones house. well, I am going to cross the tracks and i hear the train horn, well, i look over and sure enough, it's just about 15 feet away from my head. there were no lights or anything to warn me so yeah. I almost died. twice in one day. first the train, then i almost got hit on the freeway and that would have just killed me cause the dude was not paying attention. so, that's my exciting story for the day.

stuff
so, basically it's been a month since i've done this. that's how long the internet has been out in my apartment so I decided that I would take my computer somewhere to get internet. it's midnight thirty and I am sitting outside in the grass by the club house making sure that the internet works. kinda of exciting, at the same time, scary cause the sprinklers might try to put an end to my midnight meeting. well, the other day there was a trailer truck that fell over on an exit ramp so that was scary. the whole thing just broke apart and there was supplies of whatever, everywhere. sickticious. well, today was awesome cause I hardwired 3 doors and two motion sensors into the panel. that's the most that i've done so far. lucky for the sales rep or he would have been eating his points saved. my, techs

the night life
well, installs are normal. things are going well and I only have minor problems now. it's actually pretty cool. I did have one install that took me forever cause I couldn't get the garage door sensor to work cause it was too far away or something so that sucked and then the wife was really sweet and stuff....not. well, the other awesome story is that when we are in chicago, we are in a black neighborhood and sometimes it's not the safest place. well, I got done with my jobs so i went to help steve so we could get everything done and get home at a decent time. I guess on saterdays they are going to give us jobs after 7 so we have somewhat of a weekend. well, his car didn't start so it was really dark, so we are just kinda sitting there and yeah. it starts and he decided to go to a job and partial it, well, he leaves his car running so it doesn't die again and he locked himself out so I had to drive back, I was on the freeway, and go help him out. we finally get in and then we drove home realy fast. i got stuck behind some slow cars and that was really frustrating. but, that was the horror story of the week cause I admit I was a little scared.
